Hi, I’m Trichia Phillips, Pack Leader of the heart behind The Proper Pup Wedding Attendant. Originally from England and proudly calling the United States home since 2000, I bring warmth, professionalism, and a deep love for dogs to every wedding I’m part of.
As a professional dog sitter, Certified Dog Trainer, and proud board member of Georgia Dog Advocates, my passion has always been centered around care, trust, and creating calm, positive experiences for both people and their pets. I created The Proper Pup to help couples include their beloved dogs in one of life’s most meaningful moments, because I truly believe pets are family.
My goal is to make sure every pup feels safe, loved, and comfortable while playing a special role in your wedding day. From walking down the aisle to providing attentive care throughout the celebration, I am dedicated to making your dog’s experience just as memorable as yours.

Lisa Pelletier
With over 35 years of experience working with dogs, caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I bring a calm, steady presence to every pup I work with, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and confident—especially in the excitement of a wedding day.
My background in law enforcement has shaped my attentive, patient approach, allowing me to read behavior, respond to each dog’s needs, and create a supportive, structured environment where they can truly shine.
I am also the founder of Georgia Dog Advocates, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting and supporting dogs. This work reflects my lifelong commitment to their well-being and advocacy, both in and outside of The Proper Pup.
At home, I have four dogs of my own, and I treat every dog in my care with the same level of love, respect, and attention.
Being part of The Proper Pup is incredibly meaningful to me—it’s an honor to help couples include their dogs in such a special moment.
Stephen Phillips
Meet the backup staff, or as we call him the owners favorite husband – Stephen Phillips
Proudly serving in the US Army for over 8 years, I bring structure, commitment and strength to The Proper Pup. I have always had a dog in my family, from age 5 until now and I’ve always believe pets are like family and they should be included in special events as such.
Having rescued, fostered and of course adopted too many dogs to list, I bring a wealth of knowledge in the handling, care and the needs of your precious family member. I especially love the larger breeds, the bigger the better but will also happily cuddle with your chihuahua if necessary.
